Video The song, "The Edge of a Dream" by Minnie Riperton

"The ripples run into the sun, and your smile blends with the clouds that flutter by me...
.....as I sit on the Edge of a Dream, what do I see?"

--Minnie Riperton
(from the song, "The Edge of a Dream")

I hate to cut and paste the same line from a previous Wanderlust post, but........

When I first saw the photo shoot of the Ubud Hanging Gardens Resort in Bali, Indonesia on their website, it vaulted to the top of my Wanderlusting list of
"dream destinations to take my dream girl, after I procure my dream finances" , just in case all that lightning strikes at once {chucking while typing}

Rendang (Indonesian Stewed Beef)  ....instead of searing the meat before cooking it in liquid,                                                  Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice)  ...as in many countries where rice is a staple, Nasi Goreng
as is done with a Western-style braise, Beef Rendang reverses the process. Slowly simmering beef                                                    is often a meal prepared from  leftovers from the previous day. With the "trademark" egg on top
chuck with Indonesian spice paste, coconut milk, and lemongrass yields an amazingly tender,                                                            it makes for a filling breakfast or anytime meal  [click photo for recipe]
rich dish that's great with both white rice or crusty bread. [click photo for recipe]

Prawn "Gado Gado"  ....On the streets of Jakarta Java, and elsewhere in Indonesia, some vendors’ pushcarts are essentially mobile salad bars, where "Gado Gado" creations of greens, sprouts, shredded cabbage, fried potatoes and tofu, hard-cooked eggs, shrimp chips, and more are dressed in a spicy and aromatic peanut sauce. The salad lends itself to creativity; nearly any combination of raw and cooked vegetables, along with rice or thin noodles, if you like, can be used.  [click photo for recipe]

Ayam Pelalah (Shredded Balinese Chicken) ....a vibrant chicken dish                                                                             Balinese Grilled Chicken ...over an open flame, with turmeric, chilies, and ginger
featuring chilies, shallots, lime, and bay leaves [click photo below for recipe]                                                                            (though I hate the "vegetable oil" in the recipe
use Coconut Oil [click photo for recipe]

Balinese baby Back Ribs  ....I don't each much pork anymore, but I'm still a "sucker" for a good slab of ribs                             Es Campur   ...is an Indonesian dessert treat featuring shave ice,
once a year or so. After 1500 healthy meals and smoothies a year, my body is like, "whatever" !!! I do pop a couple                      fruits, avocado, condensed milk. Indonesia is a huge country population wise, and area-wise,
of
Papaya Enzyme capsules after that kinda meal, to help digest meat [click photo for recipe]                                                     and thus many variations exist [click photo for recipe]

So it's official. The World is in Chaos....

........but one philosopher once said that your "world view" is the world you have in your mind. So, luckily, my world is pretty calm and peaceful. In spite of all the chaos and madness around me, I feel like I'm almost at that point where I can get out of Corporate America, and peruse my own passions, my own ambitions.....my own dreams.

Yep, I'm right on "The Edge of a Dream" :)

~stay healthy~.
