I never decided if this was a point of shame or a point of pride, but I have always been the most cynical person on the planet when it comes to Weddings.................



However, this amazing wedding photo shoot I ran across on ThePrettyBlog.com with original photography by Petronella Photography, provoked me to step out of my comfort zone, and perhaps my "cynical zone", to come up with something.........

....I'm sure most of my audience is much less cynical :)


As ThePrettyBlog.com noted on their site, The goal of the shoot was to channel a Brooklyn vintage and old Harlem renaissance era by using a mix of vintage, lace, stripes and interesting elements to bring the concept to life and show brides how to incorporate non-traditional vintage detail with sophisticated pops of color into their wedding.

When I first saw the photos, my mind "Wandered" into the "what if" challenge of, if the "Bride-to-Be" asked me about some holistic menu options for her Wedding, full of color and flavor, my mind said "psssst, ain't nothing but a thang"........so here we go!!!

In reality, creating this post healed me of my "Wedding Cynicism Syndrome".....

It was a lot of fun putting this together, some of my best work on my blog to date, methinks. I actually became a "Cyber Groom-zilla", very picky about the shots, which photos would get into article, which would not make the cut.

I think saw the light halfway though this labor of "Love Times Love", that if I got thrown into my own "Bright Brooklyn Wedding Affair" (for me, probably a "Bright Caribbean Affair" or a "Bright Paris Affair"), as long as my photos are true to the reality that I am living, not just for show (i.e., my smile in the photo is cause I'm truly happy, not just faking for the camera), then I am good.......yep, I've seen the light!!!
