The great thing about when you are addicted to what I call “HGTV Porn” 🙂 , is the house doesn’t have to be exactly your style to like it…
I mean, sometimes, I just appreciate someone’s own unique expression of their own style in their home architecture and interior decor.
(and I love when people get a little more “daring” than I would) ….
And this eclectic home “On the Sunny Side of the Street” in Maui, Hawaii, falls into that category….
It’s so Crazy, Colorful, and Cool!!! Take a “cyber tour” of the crib, and check out these ten crazy colorful sunny summer salads.
…and now that I’ve lured you in, you know I’m gonna sneak in a few healthy eating tips,
yawl know by now how I “sling it”,                      …yep 🙂

[below]Â jicama salad
The Healthy Chef’s “healthy morsel”:Â The jicama is Mexican, white-ish, starchy, yam/turnip style veggie, you might opt to swap that out for whatever tickles your fancy (I’ll do some thin sliced Apples) ….

[below] cantaloupe salad with mint, lime and pepitas

[below] heirloom tomato salad
The Healthy Chef’s “healthy morsel”: In case you’ve always heard the word “Heirloom” but never knew what it was, any heirloom tomatoes are basically local to one place, and that specific environment will give them their unique shapes, colors, taste, and so forth….

[below] mediterranean chopped salad with lemon garlic shrimp
The Healthy Chef’s “healthy morsel”: Omit the shrimp if that ain’t your thing, or swap in something else. If doing shrimp make sure you get your shrimp “wild caught”, because wild caught is very low in toxins, as compared to Farm Raised Shrimp, which is often high in toxins….

[below] “mason jar” layered salads
The Healthy Chef’s “healthy morsel”: Gonna be such a cool idea for my next “outdoor concert picnic date” !!! (every dude gotta figure out his unique way to impress 🙂 ). Get creative, and make your layers whatever you want, NO RULES!!!

…about the crib
Designed by Italian architect and designer Ettore Sottsass, Casa Olabeunaga is a beautiful, vibrant home located in Maui, Hawaii.
The two-level abode is nestled on the top of a gently sloping 3,400-foot-high hill in Maui’s sought-after Kula district, and overlooks the Pacific Ocean, as well as four smaller islands.
The unique residence features a 1,500-square-foot deck.
The living room encompasses white oakwood floors.
The gardens include a “tiny little forest” that obscures the home from the street level.
Esperanza Spalding:
“On the Sunny Side of the Street”
…Had to post this video somewhere in my blog! Esperanza Spalding is such an angel, and the song’s lyrics are kinda where my head is at these days. Such a cool remake of a classic made popular by Frank Sinatra, ENJOY!!!!
