Girl Talk: Beauty Is More Than Skin Deep….

….by guest writer Bobbi Hill

Many people define beauty based on the features of our face and the size and shape of our body. In addition to that we use creams, serums, makeup, facials, and various spa treatments to enhance what we have to start with.

Some of these products are very effective since they contain nourishing nutrients, minerals, natural oils and vitamins that give skin hydration, reduce fine lines, smooth out wrinkles, reduce dark spots, prevent acne, minimize pore size and produce a radiant, healthy glow.

This works from the outside and is very popular since it is relatively easy and can have striking results. A valid and important approach, but it remains one piece of the puzzle.

Another kind of beauty comes from a different place. Not only from deep within the cells of the skin, but the shining of your heart.

Let’s start with the skin. Feeding and nourishing your skin with nutrients from the inside provides many important benefits.

Food of course, is obvious. It is one of the most powerful ways to nourish your skin and has also been studied extensively.

A very big subject indeed, so I don’t want to take up valuable time and space discussing it here.
WebMD has a detailed article explaining this approach. It is powerful and well worth taking to heart.

Look into it as deeply as you can and find what works for you.

Speaking of the heart, we come to a subtle and compelling way to shine your inner beauty.

The invisible feelings you broadcast every day have a profound effect on your body, including your skin.

The mind-body connection has been extensively studied and it is now widely known……

……….and accepted that everything we think and feel has a direct impact on our biochemistry.

Our bodies are a direct reflection of who we are on the inside.

If you haven’t considered this before, now is the time!

You are much more beautiful when you smile. This evokes the same response in another and then we have two beautiful people. Try it the next time you feel bad or sad and all your cells will start feeling glad.

Positive emotions, however you choose to generate them, change you inside and out. Don’t overlook this potent way to be a truly beautiful person.

~stay healthy~

I really enjoyed your artical on Beauty.  It is so easy to forget what is on the inside counts just as much.  I wonder what amount of money is spent on improving the inside and frame of mind and spirit compared to the outer beauty.

I enjoyed your comments, Mom. Inner beauty truly does make a difference in how people perceive you from the outside.  I like the pictures of the women.  They are all unique and very beautiful.
