Home Cookin’ !!! Breakfast in the “Sunlight”, Provence, Southern France

On the Menu:
Wild Garlic Omlette
Banana Bread Waffles
Avocado and Egg Croissant Sandwich

When I first ran across the photo shoot for this amazing home in Southern France, the first thought that came to my head was…."damn, that house must get some breathtaking sunlight in the morning"

……My second thought was…."I could cook a serious breakfast for a pretty girl waking up over there. That house and pretty, warm-hearted girl, that's a hell of a lot of 'Sunlight' "

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel": Stick to  Real Maple Syrup  or the concept of healthy eating is defeated. Get grass fed butter and dairy from Whole Foods. Use Coconut Palm Sugar as opposed to the brown sugar in this recipe

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel":  Whole Foods always has a couple of brands of pastured eggs .   I eat 20+ pastured eggs a week, and my cholesterol scores are PERFECT!!!! also,  AVOID CANOLA OIL ….its poison!!!

The Healthy Chef's "healthy morsel":  Avoid common table salt, and switch to Pink Himalayan Salt or alternately Celtic Sea Salt.  Fry eggs ONLY in Coconut Oil or Grass Fed Butter.

About the crib…..

Located on a cliff top, in enchanting region of Provence and bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, ALON is an inspiring home, built from white concrete and adorned with glass and wood. The house is structured on two levels: the ground floor seems a little bit more intimate, keeping the walling intact while the first floor provides light and warmth.

The upper floor resembles to an open pavilion, that exudes transparence and enhances the feeling of space and freedom. Designed by Atelier d’Architecture Bruno Erpicum & Partners, ALON was envisioned as a modern, cozy and discreet home. One of the main assets is definitely, the view.

Imagine the sunsets and sunrises, unique and spectacular, every single time. The idea of discreet luxury and comfort is perfectly transmitted through the house’s design and ambience. The walls of the house do not interfere between man and the surrounding world.

It brings them closer: all the rooms throughout the house are spacious, luminous and come “equipped” with wide terraces. Relaxing and with breathtaking views, ALON is the perfect retreat whenever you feel like detaching and rediscovering the small things in life.
