I always find it amusing when I make something for family and friends when we are casually watching a ballgame or whatever, and I notice their facial expressions when they bite into something super delicious, but unknown to them, super healthy. Salmon Dip is on that list.
Quality ingredients do so much for health, but we forget that they can make a good dish taste awesome. I know some people stay away from canned seafood, but Vital Choice has just incredible tasting seafood. When you open a can and see that deep, deep, orange colored fish oil, you know you're in for a taste treat. Vital Choice even voluntarily lines their cans with non-BPA linings.
Salmon Dip
Ingredients
–8 ounce quality (such as Natural by Nature) grass fed cream cheese, softened
–1/2 cup grass fed sour cream
–1/4 cup grass fed butter, softened
–2 tsp chopped organic pimento peppers
–1 tablespoon chopped organic fresh parsley
–1 teaspoon grated organic onion
–1 can Vital Choice (or other high quality) salmon, drained (although I try to keep some oil)
–1/4 teaspoon dried organic dill weed
Directions
In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, butter, pimentos, parsley and onion; preferable to beat with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in the salmon and dill. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
A Good Chip is hard to find
I guess I could just say here, "throw some Ritz crackers on a plate and serve", but I always like to use products without cheap and toxic oils, and other "mystery ingredients". Not a simple as one thinks. Your crackers or chips will be wherever you are on your journey, so to each his or her own. I had to look really hard to find something to work for me. There is a company which I love, called Sami's Bakery, I found on the web.

Sami's Millet & Flax Garlic Chips Ingredients
Millet Flour,Brown Rice Flour,Ground Flax,Sea Salt,Olive Oil,Non Aluminum Baking Powder,Water,Garlic,Cultured Brown Rice Flour and Ascorbic acid.
Sami's has an awesome selection of chips that are super x 2 delicious. They are raw food and real food, and it shows when I watch my family and friends look in amazement at how a simple chip and dip can taste so delicious. I guess eventually I'll tell them they have been eating healthy. ~dw~

Sami's Bakery has changed their ingredients in their Garlic Chips. Last time I ordered them they were out for a while and then the Calorie count went up twice as much per serving and the ingredients are as follows: Millet flour, brown rice flour, rice bran, ground flax seed, water, Quinoa flour, garlic, olive oil, sea salt, non alumium baking powder (sodium acid Pyrophosphate, sodium Bicarbonate, pototo starch, monocalcium phosphate0 cultured brown rice flour and ascorbic acid. Contains traces of gluten, wheat or yeast. 111 calories per ounce (use to be 66 calories) I use to love these chips. Thanks for listening!
I had heard that someone from “glutened” from Sami’s. Actually, Sami’s doesn’t deliver to where I live anymore, so I no longer purchase from Sami’s. As I said in the article, “The quest for the perfect chip”. I suppose it never ends, along with a bread that is practical, without your standard grains like wheat. I’m in the process of learning to make my own chips and bread. Thanks for stopping by!!!!
