The next Franken-Sugar to be concerned about is Neotame, which will be allowed in even organic foods without labeling.  Nutritionally, it's a scary world where it is becoming increasingly important to eat only whole foods made from scratch, as almost nothing processed and packaged is trustworthy any more.

I don’t think I even heard of Neotame. I guess I might have to throw that on the list also.

Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, editor of NaturalNews.com acutally has a video about Sugar in the Raw.  It turns out it's just regular sugar….

Thanks for the video. I think it may break deadlock in the hung jury. I couldn’t believe that the makers of “Sweet N. Low” would actually put out a quality product.

Hi.  The Rebiana statement confuses me.  The ingredient in Sweetleaf is Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni and in NuNaturals it is Stevia Rebaudiana.  Can you explain?
Also yacon is great but expensive.  Veggie glycerine is also a good choice.  The inulin is fine, but it will cause gas if you use too much b/c it is a fiber.

to Adrienne @ Whole New Mom. There is confusion between "Rebiana" and "rebaudiana Bertoni". The latter is the botanical name for the stevia plant, whereas Rebiana is a patended product from the process of a chemical extraction. Cargill has filed a patent to sell rebiana in soft drinks. Thus, Rebiana is a ficticious man made creation, and is a blatant play on the botanical name Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni. So, Sweet Leaf Stevia and NuNaturals are "supposedly" using "rebaudiana Bertoni" which is full stevia leaf. That's why I am more comfortable with Sweet Leaf Stevia.

Great info!  People are always asking me about truvia and I always steer them away from it.  It is so sad though that a lot of the dangerous sugars are marketed to be natural.

It’s these sugars that made me start blogging. I can’t fight Cargill and Monsanto, but I can definitely throw a punch. Stay Healthy.

Thanks for commenting on my post. I guess we are all gonna take in a little white sugar. Like in the gourmet chocolate bars I have here and there. But in this country, the average annual intake supposedly 150 pounds a year? Out of control…………..

Thanks for your comment. I did start the section “My Passions on a Plate” to take the analytical edge off the blog and make eating creative and fun, so that I’m not scientific all the time. Now I feel more “balanced” with the blog’s content.

I just found your website from another blog. What an eyeopener this article is! Thank you so much for sharing. Hope to get future blogs from you.
